Our project activities and results have been presented in more than 15 scientific lectures (e.g. PMC-Meeting, Niamey; DFG Conference, Tegernsee; FAO Conference, Marrakesh; FU Berlin; World Neem Conference, India; DGaaE, Jena; Entomology Congress, Leipzig; MPI, Munich; GTZ/CILSS: Locust Conference, Bamako; World Neem Conference, Australia; IFAD Meeting, Rome).
5.2 Presentations in the host country
In the host country itself 6 project presentations have been made, some at the station in Akjoujt, some in the capital Nouakchott. Participants included the Special Ambassador of Mauritania for Europe; the German Ambassador, the Deputy Ambassador of the USA; the Staff Director of the Mauritanian Plant Protection Service; FAO representatives from Rome, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Force Maghrebine; representatives from the BMZ, and GTZ Directors and Heads of Country Sections.
5.3 Publications
The most important results of the field tests are presented in over 20 scientific publications (see attached literature list). Due to time constraints, it has not been possible to publish all our results. We already have extensive still unpublished data available, especially on tests with botanicals, and on the biology, ecology and predators of S. gregaria.
